A poem re: my journey this year
Some of life's most exciting journey's don't happen on the road...
I am not I but a vessel
A sturdy ship offering refuge
to an unborn passenger
I am not I but the wind
Tossing aside all regard
for that which blocks my path
I am not I but a mammal
Instinctively molding, changing
to build a nurturing nest
I am not I but a mother
Forgetting self in order to be
steady for her passenger,
strong in the face of danger,
ever changing for her kin.
