The new adventure

 

A different kind of entry today as I share the news of becoming a mom.

Our beautiful baby boy Samuel Buckley Cohen joined the family shortly before 4PM on January 6th, 2009. After 3 days of pre-labour (grrrr) and a short 3 and half for the rest (yeah), he came into this world, at home, one fist above his head like the little superman he is. Weighing in at 7 pounds, 15 ounces on day one - he's almost a week old now and gaining weight like mad!

The reality of how our lives will change hasn't really set in yet but I can promise that my adventures on the road and in the kitchen will have a new spin and a new purpose: To ensure my little tyke is equally in love with exploring the world and all of its sights and flavours.
